Yum blended sales drop 2%

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Yum! Brands Inc. announced an estimated 2-percent decrease in third-quarter U.S. blended comps. The period ended Sept. 9, 2006.
Taco Bell same-store sales dropped 2 percent while KFC comps were even for the quarter. Pizza Hut sales dipped 5 percent.
Yum said international comps – made up of KFC and Pizza Hut – increased 9 percent. In China, comps increased 25 percent.
