Yum China Holdings Inc. has opened its first Taco Bell location in Beijing. The location will feature some Chinese exclusives such as the rice bowl, seasoned bone chicken and taco pizza, according to a press release.
Yum China provided modern designs for this Taco Bell, including a graffiti wall to showcase Beijing's culture and landmarks, and an open kitchen so customers can see their meals being prepared.
"After much anticipation we are thrilled to bring this iconic brand to Beijing. The new store integrates Taco Bell's signature food and spirit into the local community and we are excited to welcome new and existing Taco Bell customers," Joey Wat, CEO of Yum China, said in the release. "We believe that there is a growing appetite for Taco Bell, and we will continue to review and refine Taco Bell's service model and offerings for the Chinese market. We also look forward to bringing this fun and dynamic brand to other parts of the country in the future."
Taco Bell currently has 11 locations in mainland China.
