Yum! crafts plan to boost brands' U.S. sales

CNN Money: Yum! Brands Inc. revealed a variety of initiatives aimed at taking on the competition, driving sales and managing costs during its first quarter conference call. The company will focus especially on rejuvenating U.S. sales, where KFC and Pizza Hut were hurt by more consumers eating dinner at home.
Pizza Hut will rely more on sales of pasta, lasagna and chicken wings; KFC hopes its new grilled chicken platform will drive more sales and Taco Bell, which contributes 60 percent to U.S. profits, will take on value competitors by fortifying its "Why Pay More" value menu.
