Yum! Restaurants International has appointed Andréa Rolim to the position of general manager, Brazil, overseeing the operations, marketing, training and overall leadership of the KFC and Pizza Hut business in the Brazilian market.
"Brazil is one of our biggest opportunities for growth, so this position is very important to us," said Frederic Levacher, general manager, Latin America and Caribbean. "Andréa's knowledge of the Brazil market will be instrumental in driving our growth plans. Additionally, she's a great developer of people, displaying principles that are consistent with the Yum! philosophies and culture."
Rolim joins Yum! from Grupo Pão de Açúcar in São Paulo, where she has been working as a business director. With more than 1,800 stores, Grupo Pão de Açúcar is the biggest Brazilian and the second largest Latin American retailer.
Earlier in her career, she spent 17 years with Unilever in Brazil. She started in the supply chain department before moving to marketing and progressed through several roles until she was appointed vice president of personal care. Rolim has an economics degree from PUC-SP in São Paulo.
