No longer the alternative: The approaching future of local payments

While the U.S. may be slower than the rest of the world in the adoption of local payments, many recent determinants will help change this rather quickly. While merchants will not be ditching card terminals anytime soon, they should take notice of the growing adoption of digital payments. Especially in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic; it could serve as the inflection point away from traditional payments towards digital methods.
