Despite the dominance of the legacy brands, independent pizzerias continue to thrive, offering unique flavors and local flair. To recognize these innovative brands, Pizza Marketplace has launched its second annual "Pizza Brands to Watch" list featuring 30 up-and-coming concepts.

More than 75 brands nominated themselves, and a panel of judges selected the honorees based on their use of technology, menu innovation and future growth plans. Once a brand is named to the list, it is ineligible for future consideration.
