Burger King goes long for new BBQ cheeseburger

Burger King Worldwide has introduced a twist on the classic cheeseburger, serving two beef patties side by side on a toasted hoagie bun, rather than stacked on top of each other. The new Extra Long BBQ Cheeseburger also includes American cheese, onion rings and BBQ sauce.

“The new savory Extra Long BBQ Cheeseburger is a fun twist on a classic burger,” CMO Eric Hirschhorn said in a news release. “Instead of stacking the patties, we’ve placed them side by side and topped them with two summer favorites, crispy onion rings and sweet BBQ sauce.”

The Extra Long BBQ Cheeseburger is available now for a suggested price of $3.59. It is also a part of the two for $5 menu alongside the Big King sandwich, the Chicken Big King Sandwich, Original Chicken Sandwich and Big Fish Sandwich.
