In May, Long John Silver's menu will include new sandwiches, soups and salads. Supermarketnews.com said the chain's chief food innovation officer Marie Zhang told attendees at this week's Seafood Expo in Boston that seafood will be a "key ingredient" in the brand's new soups and salads, which are currently in test.
Additionally, Long John Silver's has had enough success with its new Ciabatta Jack Fish sandwich to expand its sandwich line. In the pipeline are a panko crispy breaded sandwich, a crabcake sandwich and a seafood salad sandwich.
Zhang also told the audience that the brand will also introduce grilled white fish in the fall. All of these menu innovations are part of Long John Silver's newly launched marketing campaign, "Think Fish."
