The DQ system is launching three DQ deals connected with a social media campaign to find the so-called "hangriest" people during peak hours for those who are hangry, or ill-tempered due to hunger.
That timeframe, according to a news release, is 11 a.m. on Wednesday as determined by Netbase, a social media analytics platform.
To assuage those growling stomachs and minds, DQ is offering diners a choice of three-, four- or five-piece chicken strip dinners with fries and a scaleable mini blizzard priced at $4, $5 or $6.
To up the brand's social media ante, DQ will give the internet's 100 hangriest people on Wednesdays, at lunch hour, 'Hungry Up Deals' and gift cards through the end of this year.
"Our new Hungry Up Value Deals include three levels that solve your hunger problems whether you're hungry-ish, hungry or downright hangry," said Maria Hokanson, executive vice president of marketing, in the release.
In December, the chain's deals through this initiative will change to single-, double- or triple-cheeseburger meals with fries and the scaleable mini blizzard teat. The brand said customers who download and register for the DQ mobile app will also get a free small blizzard treat in all chains stores, except those in Texas and Canada.
