Flatbreads return to Arby's, now with chicken and stronger 'ghosts'

November 11, 2016

Arby's said today it is bringing back last year's successful steak fajita flatbreads with sliced angus steak, but this year they're also adding a slow-cooked, thick-cut chicken option. Likewise, the chain is also amping up the spice, with a new, much hotter ghost pepper sauce, which a news release said is 25 percent hotter than the previous version.

Those who prefer to retain the flesh on the insides of their mouths also have a sauce option. The chain will offer another milder topping in its avocado sour cream sauce for all versions of its steak and chicken fajita flatbreads.

Flatbreads come with Colby jack cheese, fire-roasted red and yellow peppers, lettuce, tomatoes and red onions. This LTO comes on the heels of the chain's recent big hit, a venison sandwich offered at a select Arby's locations in honor of deer hunting season. That LTO prompted national business headlines after it sold out on day one at the select locations it was offered in some cities.
