Arby's Canada is thinking GJP

September 12, 2010

A Toronto-based company has been named the Canadian agency of record for Arby's. GJP Advertising will assume all creative and media duties for the chain's advertising and loyalty campaigns.

According to Marketing Magazine, the agency will play a critical role in lifting the Arby's brand.

Arby's U.S. is also shifting gears to bolster the brand. In August, it parted ways with Merkley + Partners after six years. The company is currently conducting an agency search.

In a release, Arby’s Canada’s vice-president of marketing Tracey Fletcher said GJP “blew the company away” with last summer’s social media campaign and contest “Snap and Drive,” and the TV-led “Perfect Harmony” campaign.

“They have really demonstrated their expertise, agility and the benefit of working in a truly media-neutral environment,” said Fletcher. “It made sense to us and our franchisees to consolidate the whole account at GJP.”
