Arby's new marketing campaign, featuring the "Good Mood Food" original song, was named one of the worst ads in America by Consumerist.com.
More than 115,000 consumer votes were tallied for the second annual "awards" to determine the ads in nine categories.
Luvs' "Poop! There it is" was named the "Absolute Worst Ad in America," with more than 32 percent of the vote.
Other companies on the list include McDonald's, Swiffer, AT&T, Summer's Eve, Geico, CarFax and Esurance.
McDonald's was listed among the "Trend that needs to stop being a trend" category for men who barely tolerate their wives/girlfriends. Klondike was also listed in this category.
Arby's "Good Mood Food" was listed as an "original jingle that should be junked."
Despite this recent survey, the new Arby's campaign fared well in the YouGov BrandIndex's ranking of the best perceived QSR brands of the first half of 2011. Arby's ranked sixth, behind Subway, Wendy's, Chick-fil-A, Burger King and KFC, in the consumer perception survey, sampling a representative U.S. population sample daily.
