REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. — Arby's has selected the Oracle E-Business Suite to help improve financial reporting, workforce management, new store construction and procurement for its more than 3,500 restaurants worldwide.
According to a news release, the Oracle applications will support Arby's growth plans.
Following the acquisition of RTM, its largest franchisee, Arby's faced a requirement to replace the company's legacy information systems and streamline its financial reporting. The company said it selected Oracle after a comprehensive evaluation of the options available.
"We are laying the foundation for the future of our business and our ability to provide customer and shareholder value," said Arby's chief executive officer Don Zimmerman. "We selected Oracle to support our immediate and long-term goals for solid business growth."
Oracle said applications are scheduled to be implemented in multiple phases, with the first phase of completion expected around the end of the year.
