The fish pic has become one of the internet's most recognizable dating app tropes. Long John Silver's wants you to share your own fish pic by DM, according to a press release.

By showing your fish pic, the brand will transform their image to feature a piece of fried fish. Guests will receive a photo to spark convos and an exclusive BOGO to enjoy IRL.

How it works

Fans direct message Long John Silver's a fish pic or post using #LJSFishPics.

In return, Long John Silver's will deliver back an upgraded photo featuring its hand-battered fried fish, along with an exclusive BOGO dining offer.

"We love fish. Our fans love fish. When we saw how iconic the fish pic has become, we couldn't resist," Laura Ellis, chief marketing officer at Long John Silver's, said in the release. "If people are going to show off their catch, we're happy to show off ours too — and reward fans with free food on us."

Long John SIlver's was founded in 1969.
