Arby's whittles down AOR search

September 15, 2010

Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. has narrowed down its search for a new national agency of record.

The four finalists include BBDO out of New York City; Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, from San Francisco; Euro RSCG in Chicago; and Young & Rubicam, from NYC.

To get to this point, a review process was held that included a questionnaire and creative samples.

“These four agencies were chosen as finalists based on their creativity, QSR experience and record of developing brands with distinct personality and attitude,” said Bob Kraut, Arby's SVP of advertising and marketing communications.

In August, Arby's announced it had parted ways with Merkley + Partners after six years.

The company's search for a new AOR is part of its turnaround plan, which was outlined in March.

The review is being conducted by EBJ Consultants, an independent advertising consulting firm based out of Dallas. The new agency will be selected by the end of the year.
