Auntie Anne's hosts entrepreneurial forum for teens

December 5, 2013

Auntie Anne's has teamed up with The First Tee, an international youth development organization, to host a Leaders & Entrepreneurs Forum focusing on the franchise industry. The First Tee, linked with the PGA, focuses on teaching kids ages 5-18 life skills through the game of golf, according to a news release.

The event included 50 participants from the U.S. and Ireland and was held at the Walt Disney World Resort. Four members of the Auntie Anne's corporate team and three of its franchise partners spent four days in Disney teaching students lessons that focused on leadership and entrepreneurial skills. The curriculum included modules on investment, construction, training, marketing and more.

"Two of my greatest passions in life are teaching young people to dream and anything related to golf, so I am especially excited to share this recent opportunity that Auntie Anne's had with The First Tee. Any time we can impact the life of a young person, it is an investment well spent," said Bill Dunn, Auntie Anne's president and COO.
