Auntie Anne’s launches third annual childhood cancer fundraiser

July 22, 2014

Auntie Anne’s has launched its third annual fundraiser to fight childhood cancer, and has again teamed up with the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The brand’s goal is to fund 10,000 hours of research, according to a news release.

From now through Sept. 15, Auntie Anne’s will ask customers to "join in the mighty fight against childhood cancer" by visiting their local store and purchasing a customized pretzel ribbon icon for $1. As a token of appreciation, Auntie Anne’s will provide a coupon for $1 off the next purchase of any pretzel product and drink. All proceeds collected through the in-store campaign will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

"We are pleased to continue our partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in its mission of raising awareness and funds to fight childhood cancer, primarily through research into new treatments and cures. While Auntie Anne’s has raised more than $1 million dollars since partnering with the foundation in September 2011, the fight is far from over," COO Bill Dunn said in a news release. "We encourage our guests to join us in the fight and remember no donation is too small to make a difference."

The pretzel brand will also launch a social fundraising campaign on July 28. Customers can donate online and receive a coupon for their next visit to Auntie Anne’s.
