Australian KFCs mixing cabbage with lettuce due to shortage

KFC customers in many areas of Australia are finding cabbage where all lettuce once sat on their burgers and wraps.

The QSR brand is doing a mix of lettuce and cabbage due to a supply chain disruption caused by heavy floods that wiped out lettuce crops earlier this year, according to a BNN Bloomberg report.

Australian consumers likely aren't shocked by the burger change as lettuce goes for high prices in the country, about $8 for head of iceberg. That's cheap compared to $25 for a watermelon, noted the news report.
