A&W kicks off summer-long promotion of free ice cream

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — On July 16, National Ice Cream Day, A&W Restaurants will kick off its summer-long "Float Your Papa Combo for Free."
According to a news release, through Sept. 2, any A&W customer who orders a Papa Burger Combo (including a Papa Burger, fries and a drink) will receive a free drink upgrade: A&W will make the drink a float, free of charge.
The float upgrade offer applies to other soft drinks as well, according to the release.
