Back Yard Burgers reports record Q1

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Back Yard Burgers Inc. credited Easter Sunday sales for its record first-quarter revenues for the period ended April 2.
Company-owned same-store sales increased 3 percent while franchise same-store sales increased 2.3 percent.
According to a news release, total revenues were $10.6 million, a record first quarter for the company and a 10 percent increase over total revenues for last year.
The company reported a net income of $217,000.
