The Power & Light District, in the heart of downtown Kansas City, Mo., is one of the Midwest's premier entertainment locations with more than 50 unique restaurants, bars and shops in a nine-block area.
Joining that vibrant lineup in 2011 will be Burger King's Whopper Bar. It is set to open in the space of a former Chefburger at 1350 Walnut St., according to the Kansas City Star.
Burger King's first Whopper Bar opened at Universal CityWalk in Orlando, Fla. in 2009.
The concept has since spread to Miami's South Beach, Memphis, New York City, Venezuela and Singapore.
Whopper Bars differ from traditional Burger King outlets in that they feature modern, bar-like designs to complement a lineup of beers served.
They also allow customers the opportunity to select customizable Whoppers, Double Whoppers or Steakhouse XTs, with more than 22 different sandwich toppings available.
