Baskin-Robbins creates camouflage flavor, cone for Veterans Day

November 3, 2014

On Veterans Day, Baskin-Robbins will donate 10 cents from each ice cream scoop sold in its US locations to the United Service Organizations to support troops, military families and veterans.

Baskin-Robbins' support is part of the USO's "Every Moment Counts" campaign.

Baskin-Robbins will also celebrate the military community all month long with its November Flavor of the Month, First Class Camouflage, and with a special Camouflage Waffle Cone. First Class Camouflage features a combination of chocolate, salty caramel, and cake-flavored ice creams. The Camouflage Waffle Cone or Waffle Bowl are decorated green, brown and tan. Guests can also order Baskin-Robbins' First Class Camouflage Layered Sundae, which includes Oreo cookie pieces, caramel praline topping, hot fudge and is topped with whipped cream.

"We're excited to honor our military service members and veterans this November through our long-standing partnership with the USO, and hope our guests will join our efforts in supporting the USO on Veterans Day when we will make a donation for every scoop of ice cream sold in our U.S. restaurants to the organization,” President Bill Mitchell said in a news release. "We're also looking forward to introducing our November Flavor of the Month, First Class Camouflage, which celebrates our troops in a fun and unique way."

Baskin-Robbins is also committed to supporting the military community by offering a special veteran's incentive program for veterans seeking to open a franchise in the US. As part of the program, Baskin-Robbins will waive the 20-year initial franchise fee of $25,000 and offer a zero percent royalty rate for the first two years and a reduced royalty rate for years three through five for qualified, honorably discharged US veterans.
