Baskin-Robbins is donating $1 from every sundae purchased on Sundays in August to the Baskin-Robbins Joy in Childhood Foundation to support children facing hunger or illness, according to a press release.
The initiative is designed to help customers combat the "Sunday Scaries," a common term for the anxiety many feel before the start of a new work or school week.
"At Baskin-Robbins, we believe even the smallest moments of joy can make a meaningful impact," Nicole Boutwell, vice president of brand marketing and culinary at Baskin-Robbins, said in the press release. "$1 from Sundaes on Sundays transforms a relatable Sunday Scaries moment into an opportunity for guests to enjoy a delicious sundae while helping further the Foundation's mission to support children and families across the country."
Throughout the month, customers can also donate $1 at checkout to receive a buy-one-get-one-free scoop coupon for a future visit.
Additionally, on Aug. 2, the ice cream chain will host a giveaway at select locations, offering a limited-edition collectible bag charm to guests who purchase a sundae, while supplies last.
