Baskin-Robbins makes the holidays velvety

December 1, 2010

To celebrate the holidays, Baskin-Robbins has announced Red Velvet Cake as its December Flavor of the Month. The flavor has a mild chocolate cake taste with ribbons of cream cheese frosting throughout.

In December, Red Velvet Cake ice cream will be available by the scoop, either in a cone or a cup, or as part of a Baskin-Robbin's classic sundae. Baskin-Robbins also will sell a Red Velvet Ice Cream Cake that features a frosted whipped topping.

"Indulging in rich and comforting desserts is part of the fun of the holidays," said Brian O'Mara, Baskin Robbins vice president of marketing. "Red velvet cake is an American classic that continues to grow in popularity among adults and children alike, especially during the holidays."
