Burger King Worldwide Inc. announced today it is bringing back Chicken Fries for a limited time.

The fries first debuted in 2005 and were taken off the menu in 2012. Fans took to social media to request the return of the Chicken Fries to the menu.

Chicken Fries are French-fry-shaped white meat chicken, coated in breading and seasoning. The fries are offered with Burger King's BBQ, Honey Mustard, Ranch, Zesty, Buffalo and Sweet & Sour dipping sauces.

Burger King is also selling Chicken Fries fan gear on Ebay for a limited time, including t-shirts, mugs, bumper stickers, pins, temporary tattoos and more. All profits will be donated to the Burger King McLamore Foundation.

"Our fans have spoken, and we had to listen. On peak days we've seen one tweet every forty seconds about Chicken Fries, many of them directly petitioning, begging, for us to bring them back. When you have guests who are this passionate about a product, you have to give them what they want," said Eric Hirschhorn, Chief Marketing Officer North America, said in a press release. "We want to do right by our guests by bringing them back for a limited time."

Chicken Fries are available at the recommended price of $2.89 with nine pieces per order at participating restaurants nationwide for a limited time only while supplies last.
