Ten years is a long time to wait for something you love. But true love engenders that kind of commitment and next week, Burger King customers who truly loved the chain's former crown-shaped chicken nuggets will be rewarded for their devotion when the QSR brings back the royally topped pieces of poultry for the first time since 2011 in a limited location test, according to an email from Burger King.
Starting May 17, Burger King's crown-shaped chicken nuggets return to the brand's loyal subjects in the U.S. as part of a test at 25 Miami-area restaurants, although the company said the regular nuggets will remain on the menu for all those peasants who can do without the edible grandeur.
This is big stuff for a lot of people, even though the re-entry is only on a limited basis. In fact, there even exists a petition on Change.org to bring the crowned nuggets back for good . And, at last check, the petition had 2,284 signatures of a desired 2,500, so please don't ever say Americans don't have their priorities straight.
