Burger King selects ViaSat for network

SAN FRANCISCO — ViaSat Inc. said it has been selected as the network service provider for Burger King Corp. in North America. Financial terms were not disclosed.
According to a news release, the multiyear contract includes installation, network operations and satellite communication services, and will include providing broadband satellite networking services to Burger King restaurants. Initial installations will be targeted to company-owned restaurants, Carlsbad, Calif.-based ViaSat said, but terminal equipment and service will be available to all North American franchise-owned locations.
