Is Burger King's Whopper all a lie? Plaintiffs in a lawsuit filed March 28 believe so — the suit claims the sandwich isn't the same as those depicted in BK's advertising and is 35% smaller in the restaurants than shown on TV, according to a CBS News report.
The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Plaintiffs are seeking an unknown sum for those "deceived" by Burger King's advertising. The lawsuit asks that the chain stop selling the "overstated menu items" or change its advertising, according the news outlet.
Burger King, in an email to CBS News, declined to comment on pending litigation.
