Burger King testing higher priced Whopper Jr.
November 2, 2008
Forbes: Burger King said that it has seen a significant drop since the end of July in the prices for many ingredients, such as beef, cheese, corn, wheat and oil, which it expects will ease its input costs and help profitability. Still, the chain is testing a higher-priced Whopper Jr. sandwich in some areas to see whether consumers are willing to pay more for the smaller version of its iconic burger. However, the company is hesitant to permanently raise the price.
