Burger King is looking to speed up its drive thru by cutting some lengthy menu items, according to a report in USA Today.

Jose Cil, CEO of parent company Restaurant Brands International, said last week service has "declined significantly" and the company will look to reduce some of its more time-consuming menu items.

"We're working on eliminating SKUs that — we're simplifying processes that have become a bit too complicated in terms of sandwich builds, and doing a better job in terms of the menu design to make it easier for the customer, at the drive-thru in particular, to make quicker decisions," Cil said during a presentation at Morgan Stanley's Global Consumer and Retail Conference.

Cil did not mention which items would be cut from the menu.
