Burger King to extend value meal until October

Burger King is extending its $5 "Your Way Meal" through October, according to a Yahoo Finance report.

The burger brand dropped its value meal, which includes a choice between a Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Jr. or Whopper Jr., a four-piece nugget order, fries and a soda, in June. It will continue to run until Oct. 7, according to an earning call in Aug. 8.

"We feel like it is working perfectly for the business, and we think customers are loving it," CEO Josh Kobza said on the call. "Our balanced approach to everyday value continues to resonate with guests."

Competitor McDonald's recently said it would extend its $5 value meal through the summer.
