Burger King to hop on $5 meal deal train

Following news that McDonald's would release a $5 meal for a limited time, Burger King will also release its version of the deal for the same price, according to a New York Post report.

The deal will include one of three sandwiches, nuggets, fries and a drink.

McDonald's promotion will run for about four weeks, while Burger King plans to make its deal last several months, according to the report.

Burger King parent company Restaurant Brands International did not respond to a request for comment.
