Burger King UK has chosen CHI & Partners as its new advertising agency after a 5-month pitch.
According to Campaign Live, the £12 million (almost $20 million U.S.) account will cover both the U.K. and Irish markets.
CHI & Partners won the account over Hypernaked, Mother, Saatchi & Saatchi and The Red Brick Road.
"We're really pleased to welcome Burger King as our newest client and we're looking forward to producing some fantastic creative work for them," according to CHI & Partners' website.
Jo Blundell, who joined Burger King in May, oversaw the pitch.
"We are delighted to be working with CHI & Partners, who combine commercial flair and strategic thinking to deliver impressive creative campaigns. Through the expertise they have already demonstrated, CHI & Partners will bring a fresh approach to communicating the Burger King brand values and its quality food proposition," Blundell said.
The search for a new agency began after Burger King parted ways with Crispin Porter & Bogusky after seven years. CP & B ran ad campaigns for both the U.S. and U.K. markets, introducing "The King" mascot to the U.K. for the first time last year.
Burger King U.S. recently named mcgarrybowen as its new AOR.
