December 13, 2017

Captain D's has promoted Tim Ward to COO and Andy Castle to company operations vice president. Additionally the company has promoted David Rentschler to operations director for the Nashville-Knoxville-N SC district, and Jen Daley to Knoxville area director.

"Captain D's is one of the strongest fast casual concepts in the industry today, and our success is driven by our talented people," Captain D's President and CEO Phil Greifeld said in a press release. "We are delighted to recognize the significant contributions of these four longtime employees and announce their well-deserved promotions. As we head into a new year, we are certain that they each will continue to be integral to our brand's success, and look forward to watching them excel in their new roles."

Ward is a seven-year veteran of the company, most recently serving as vice president of company operations. In his new role, he will oversee all company and franchise operations in addition to developing and implementing strategies to further improve system-wide operations, guest service and unit-level economics.

Castle joined the brand in 2012 as area director for Middle Tennessee. He will now be responsible for staffing and development, marketing execution, food handling practices and procedures, and strategies for meeting sales and profit targets.

Rentschler served as an area director for the past three years, helping to make his region No. 1 in the system, the release said.

Jen Daley was general manager of the Captain D's store in Lenoir City, Tennessee, for seven years. She helped make that location an award-winning restaurant and earned recognition as Captain D's 2016 GM of the Year, the release said.
