Carl's Jr. features OREO Cookies in shake & malt

CARPINTERIA, Calif. — Carl's Jr. combined OREO cookies and ice cream into a frozen treat.
As the chain explored various candidates to augment its recently introduced line of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla shakes and malts, it chose a shake made with OREO cookie pieces. Carl's Jr. said the only option was to partner with the best-known cookie sandwich brand in the business.
The 16-oz. milkshakes are garnished with whipped topping and served in clear plastic cups with clear plastic domed lids. The shakes are sold at most Carl's Jr. restaurants for a suggested retail price of $2.89.
