Carl's Jr. taps Jenny McCarthy to push new salads

Carl's Jr. has added two new salads to its premium menu offerings: the Cranberry Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad and BBQ Ranch Grilled Chicken Salad. They join the Original Grilled Chicken Salad on the menu and are available at all Carl's Jr. locations starting today.

The Cranberry Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad features apples, dried cranberries, candied walnuts and marinated grilled chicken, as well as feta cheese and sweet and tangy raspberry vinaigrette on a bed of mixed spring and iceberg lettuces.

The BBQ Ranch Grilled Chicken Salad features tortilla strips, black beans, corn, fresh salsa, ranch dressing, Memphis BBQ sauce, shredded cheeses and marinated grilled chicken atop a bed of mixed spring and iceberg lettuces.

The Cranberry Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad and BBQ Ranch Grilled Chicken Salad are available as entrées for around $5. Prices may vary by location.

Actress Jenny McCarthy stars in the sexy new commercial for the Cranberry Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad. Titled "Forget You're Eating Salad," the new commercial emphasizes the flavors and premium ingredients in the salad. The commercial, created by Los Angeles- and Amsterdam-based creative agency 72andSunny, will begin airing in select markets on June 24.

Exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with McCarthy on the set of the Cranberry Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad commercial shoot can be viewed on the brand's YouTube channel (youtube.com/carlsjr). The 30-second commercial will be available online later this month.
