Chick-fil-A outlets across the New York City region are abuzz today with activity on the employment front. The brand is using 26 area outlets to intensify its search for topnotch workers. Locally owned franchises across the metro are hosting open in-restaurant interviews from 2 to 6 p.m. with a target goal of adding 250 more team members, according to a company press release.
The chain acknowledged that Chick-fil-A employment is often a launching pad or stop on a career path for many of its employees but said a substantial number stay on to make the brand their career homes. In fact, the release said that 12 of the 26 participating restaurants in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut are locally owned by entrepreneurs, who started as hourly team members.
The company, like many QSRs, has sweetened the deal when it comes to employment by putting a strong emphasis on leadership mentoring, flexible hours and college scholarship opportunities. New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Chick-fil-A restaurants are awarding $235,000 in scholarships this year to 76 team members.
