Chick-fil-A, McDonald's star at 2nd White House athletes QSR feast

March 5, 2019

Chick-fil-A and McDonald's assumed the starring role in the second White House QSR-based meal for winning athletes Monday afternoon. President Donald Trump took plenty of heat the last time he served "fast food" offerings to athletes at his well-known Washington, D.C. base in January for the College Football Playoff winners, the Clemson Tigers.

That heat, however, failed to stop the commander in chief from staging a repeat performance, this time for the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision winners, the North Dakota State Bison, according to the Washington Post

North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven (R) initially invited the winning team to the White House feast. The team claimed the FCS championship, which is the next highest level of play under the Football Bowl Subdivision, the Post said.
