Cinnabon celebrates nurses with week-long promotion

To celebrate Nurses Week, May 6-12, Cinnabon and The Daisy Foundation are offering nurses free Cinnabon cinnamon rolls to customers who show their healthcare badges at participating bakeries. Additionally, nurses this year can receive a Minibon Roll if they choose.

The Nurses Week celebration is an extension of the Cinnabon support for The Daisy Foundation, a non-profit organization created to honor the care that nurses provide on a daily basis. Throughout the year, more than 1,450 participating healthcare organizations worldwide honor their nurses with The Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses as recognition for their work for patients and families. Winning nurses receive free Cinnabon cinnamon rolls for their entire unit as part of the celebration.

Bonnie and Mark Barnes established The Daisy Foundation to recognize nurses after their adult son, Patrick, died of complications from an auto-immune disease. During his hospital stay, Patrick would request Cinnabon cinnamon rolls every day, and ask that his family bring in enough for his nurses. This story serves as the inspiration for the Cinnabon and Daisy Foundation partnership.

"This year, our goal is to give out even more rolls than last year and continue to strengthen the Cinnabon and Daisy relationship, and most importantly, acknowledge and reward nurses for their dedication to their profession," said Kristen Hartman, vice president of Marketing at Cinnabon.
