Cinnabon promotion to honor nurses

May 4, 2011

In appreciation of National Nurses Week, Cinnabon has teamed up with The DAISY Foundation to offer any nurse a free Cinnabon Classic Roll at participating bakeries when they show their healthcare badge from May 6-12.

"The DAISY Foundation has been an amazing partner for almost 10 years, and we are honored to help them recognize the extraordinary service of nurses," said Kat Cole, president of Cinnabon. "We love serving those who serve others and hope the aroma of our Makara cinnamon reminds the nurses how special they are as they enjoy our products during this well-deserved week."

Bonnie and Mark Barnes of Glen Ellen, Calif., and their family established The DAISY Foundation in 2000 to recognize nurses after Mark's son, Patrick, died of complications from an autoimmune disease. During his hospital stay, Patrick would only eat Cinnabon rolls, and he insisted his nurses have some, too. The DAISY Award has been given to about 16,000 nurses to date and 120,000 have been nominated.

During the promotional week, free Classic Rolls are limited to one per nurse. No purchase is necessary.
