CKE names new CFO, CLO

Carl's Jr. and Hardee's parent, CKE Restaurants Holdings, has named former Starbucks and Yum Brands executive, Charles Jemley as its CFO, and Kerry Olson as chief legal officer and general counsel, a news release said. 

"I am proud to add two distinguished leaders to our team and am excited to welcome Charles and Kerry to CKE," said Jason Marker, CKE Chief Executive Officer. "Both bring valuable food industry experience that will help guide the growth and evolution of our company and brands."

As CFO, Jemley will oversee global financial operations, including building a growth-optimized infrastructure. At Starbucks over the last 12 years, he held various senior positions across both the international and domestic businesses, most recently as the senior vice president, Finance for Starbucks Roastery and Reserve. He previously held finance and development roles at Yum Brands, including his final role there as CFO of the company's China Division.

In her role as CLO and general counsel, Olson will lead global legal strategy and oversee day-to-day operations of the CKE Legal department. She was a former partner at the international law firm, Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, and has spent more than 10 years in the food industry as assistant general counsel at both Buffalo Wild Wings and International Dairy Queen Inc. prior to her role as global general counsel at Carlson Hotels.
