The "Experience Factor" in action at Cold Stone Creamery
Cold Stone Creamery is making customers happy by throwing ice cream at them.
"Cold Stone Creamery is known as a luxury brand in the international marketplace because we provide quality products in a fun atmosphere that entertains our guests and makes them feel special," Eddy Jimenez, senior vice president of international operations and development at Cold Stone Creamery, said in a press release.
Cold Stone's unique ambiance is driven by dancing employees with a penchant for tossing ice cream to each other and customers — all in the spirit of fun. The brand's 1,500 locations in 30 countries engage customers through the "Experience Factor," the release said.
The brand also holds a yearly competition, called the "Global Creamery Cup," to find the best crew member from its stores around the world. Last year's winner was Tyrone Pia of Qatar, the release said.
The brand has has won multiple international awards, including the Egypt Superbrands Award and the Indonesia Frozen Delight award. Additionally, Coldstone has received honors as the No. 1 ice cream shop in Lagos, Nigeria, and was named first runner-up for the Brand of the Year award in Thailand.
