Colorado chain capitalizes on love for a good breakfast and man's best friend

June 8, 2016

Good Times Burgers and Frozen Custard in Colorado is getting in on the popular breakfast trend by debuting a new line of double-egg breakfast sandwiches and potatoes this spring. The following new menu items debuted in late May and will be added to the permanent Good Times menu:

•    Bacon and cheddar breakfast sandwich
•    Tuscan breakfast sandwich
•    Wild spuds

"Our Hatch Valley green chili burritos have been a big hit and the number one requested item is an egg sandwich, so we know our customers will love them," said Good Times Restaurants COO Scott Lefever. "Not only do they feature two eggs, which is unusual in the quick serve breakfast market, but the price is comparable to traditional one-egg sandwiches you would find at the nationwide fast food restaurants, and the quality is comparable to breakfast sandwiches at fast casual bakery concepts."

During breakfast, which runs until 10:30 a.m., the items are available in a combo deal of sandwich, spuds and a drink for $5.99, as well as a la carte.

But it doesn't stop there. The company is also capitalizing on the country's love for our four-legged friends this summer by offering free frozen custard treats, called Pawbenders, to customers who bring their dogs (the company news release did not mention whether this included cats, but it’s likely most felines would turn up their nose at anything less than casual restaurant fare, anyway).

Pawbenders are made with Good Times vanilla frozen custard, dog biscuits and peanut butter drizzled on top. That promotion runs through July, and while no purchase is necessary to win your furry friend a cup, customers do need to have Fido with them to qualify.
