Culver's has introduced new Sweet Potato Fries in all 431 restaurants for a limited time. The salty/sweet offering will be available through July 3.
Sweet potatoes are rich in fiber, vitamins A and C, beta-carotene, folic acid and potassium. According to the American Dietetic Association, these nutrients make sweet potatoes a "good nutritional choice."
"Sweet Potato Fries are the ultimate comfort food and a savory complement to our ButterBurger lineup. We will continue to push the envelope with innovative ingredients and products at Culver's," said David Stidham, vice president of marketing for Culver's.
In addition to Sweet Potato Fries, Culver's side choices include the signature Wisconsin Cheese Curds, Crinkle Cut Fries, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Seasoned Green Beans, Onion Rings and Cole Slaw.
Sweet potato fries seem to be in heavy demand this season. Plenty of other chains are testing the item, including Chick-fil-A, El Pollo Loco, Carl's Jr. and Hardee's.
Mini Mixers launch
For those looking for something even sweeter, Culver's also has introduced a smaller portion size for its famous Concrete Mixers: the Mini Mixers.
"Fresh Frozen Custard Concrete Mixer lovers know that sometimes it takes two people to finish one of these decadent treats," Stidham said. "The Mini Mixer gives guests permission to indulge with a just-the-right size choice."
Guests can enjoy the Mini Mixer in a variety of flavors such as the Crazy for Cookie Dough, which is handcrafted with oven-ready cookie dough, and the signature fudge and caramel. Another favorite Concrete Mixer flavor now available in mini size is the Brownie Batter Mini Mixer with chunks of brownie and chocolaty brownie batter.
Culver's also offers the option to create your own Mini Mixer with more than 30 mix-ins. Choices include gooey toppings, bits of favorite candies and pieces of fruit.
