Culver's sizzles, then soothes with 3 summer offerings

Culver's is churning out a few new offerings in time for the June 20 official start of summer. In the first case, "churning" is indeed the appropriate term since the brand said in a news release that it's launching two more fresh frozen custard flavors for the first time since 2019.

The offerings include salted caramel pecan pie and strawberry chocolate parfait, with the pecan pie variant coming first on June 10 to the chain's stores. Just behind that, on July 10, the chain will bring out a strawberry chocolate variety. Those two flavors will also be carried along in Culver's Flavor of the Day calendars going forward.

"Every time we create a new Flavor of the Day, we begin by combining ingredients that we hope will surprise, delight and satisfy our guests," Quinn Adkins, Culver's director of menu development, said in the release. "We've been developing and perfecting these flavors for years, and we can't wait for our guests to fall in love with them."

Then, in homage to summer burger season, Culver's is returning its Pretzel Haus Pub Burger to the menu as well, through Aug. 2.

The burger was specially crafted to allow Culver's guests across the country to experience the flavors of Wisconsin's grilling season, featuring a fresh beef patties that's grilled and topped with sliced Wisconsin cheddar, pickled red onions, crispy bacon, Wisconsin cheddar cheese sauce and a signature bistro sauce. The burger is served on a lightly buttered, toasted pretzel bun.

This is the third year the brand has included the Pretzel Haus Pub Burger is on Culver's menu, after first appearing in 2018. Since then, Culver's has sold over 4 million Pretzel Haus Pub Burgers.

Culver's, based in Prairie-du-Sac, Wisconsin, has more than 785 stores in 25 states.
