Dairy Queen S'mores Blizzard tests 'off the charts'

Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill restaurants debuted the S'mores Blizzard this week.

The Blizzard features a combination of marshmallow-filled chocolate bars and Honey Maid graham crackers blended with DQ's signature vanilla soft serve ice cream. A new S'mores Royal Shake and S'mores Frozen Hot Chocolate also are on the menu this summer. All three treats are topped with whipped topping.

Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing at American Dairy Queen Corporation, said the Research and Development Department spent years working on the new S'mores Blizzard, trying to get the flavor combination right.

"We are bracing for a frenzy at our restaurants this summer, particularly as our fans experience the new S'mores Blizzard Treat," said Barry Westrum, executive vice president of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). "The S'mores Blizzard Treat tested off the charts."

The S'mores Blizzard Treat is available in four sizes including the Mini, and Royal Shakes and Frozen Hot Chocolate beverages are available in three sizes. The S'more Blizzard can also be made into a DQ cake.
