Del Taco dives into shrimp promo

Del Taco is diving into its Crispy Shrimp Taco Facebook promotion again and has added a new Baja twist to the lineup this year.

The new Baja shrimp taco, priced at $2.19, features crispy shrimp, cabbage, salsa and a tangy Baja sauce in a warm flour tortilla and served with a lime wedge.

The new Baja shrimp burrito, at $3.69, features crispy shrimp, cabbage, seasoned rice, salsa and tangy Baja sauce in a warm flour tortilla.

"Our flavorful shrimp is something our loyal fans look forward to," said John Cappasola, chief brand officer at Del Taco. "Our new tangy Baja sauce adds another craveable flavor option to both our taco and burrito line-up, giving our customers another reason to believe Del Taco is the place for great tasting tacos and unbeatable value."

As it did last year, Del Taco will again offer a free shrimp taco coupon to its Facebook fans for a limited time. The coupon offer is good while supplies last and valid at participating Del Taco locations.

Last year’s Facebook promotion resulted in the sale of nearly three quarters of a million shrimp tacos in the first few weeks.

Del Taco first introduced seafood tacos with the launch of the Crispy Fish Taco in 2005.
