Del Taco floats diners $1 treats for Drive-thru Day

Del Taco's upcoming LTO ticks the boxes for value, summer beverages and that little taste of something sweet many diners today crave when it introduces a dozen dollar mini-floats on July24. That date is, in fact, also National Drive-thru Day and on it Del Taco diners can get free mini floats with any purchase when presenting the coupon in their Del Taco app, a news release said.

The mini-floats combine the brand's vanilla shake with the patron's choice of Cherry Coke, Barq's Root Beer, Hi-C Flashin' Fruit Punch, Coca-Cola or Fanta Orange. The offerings join the other items on the brand's dollar drink menu, including shakes, strawberry lemonade and iced coffee and tea. 

The brand also sweetens the deal for guests who download its app by giving all takers a free taco coupon. Del Taco is the nation's second-largest Mexican QSR with 580 restaurants across 14 states.
