Del Taco hones in on value offerings with app

Del Taco launched what the company said is a value focused app this week it calls simply "The Dell App." The brand is giving those who download the app coupons for two free Del Tacos, with other offers delivered weekly, a news release said. 

"When developing our app's capabilities, we clearly heard from our guests that doubling down on our category-leading value with unique and crave-able deals was important to them," Del Taco CMO Barry Westrum, said in the release. "With that insight, we decided to come out of the app gate strong and deliver those deals. We're also looking forward to introducing additional app elements, including delivery and loyalty, in the near future."

The chain now has more than 560 restaurants across 14 states, the release said.
