DQ, Orange Julius rewarding teachers with school supplies

The Orange Julius Treat for Teachers essay contest, presented by Orange Julius at DQ, will run through Sept. 22.

The contest was created to help teachers ease the financial burden of spending their own money to purchase educational supplies for their students. Teachers can log on to OrangeJuliusTreatforTeachers.com until Sept. 22 to submit an essay in 149 words or less on why their classroom deserves new supplies for the 2013-2014 school year.

Ten grand-prize winners will be awarded a $1,490 gift card for classroom supplies and another 100 teachers will receive a $149 gift card to an office supply retailer.

Entries will be judged on content, essay development/organization, relevance to theme and creativity/originality.
